Manik's use of the pan is magical
Several of you have enjoyed badgering me recently saying that I haven't updated my site in a while. We here we are. Today children I wish to rant about a few bizarre websites of the culinary world I've recently fallen over when not looking where i am going... generally when there is nothing to do at work :-)
The website I want to talk to you about first is for an Indian takeaway in Southampton that does a 'home buffet' service.
I can't say I would feel completely comfortable trying to sit watching a film with the family or lady friend, when there is a row of Bangladeshi chaps at the back of the lounge with this buffet table thing going on.

Another great thing about this takeaway, is the way they have given their head chef 'Manik' an almost God-like status.

"A food lovers dream is to watch the master chef at work. The Mystery Takeaway has an open kitchen where you can see our honoured Chef Manik cook your dish right infront of you."
haha and even better:
"Manik's use of the pan is magical and fascinating to watch while he prepares your favourite authentic Bangladeshi dishes."
And just top it off, yes you guessed it - they even offer a video clip of our friend 'Manik' in his kitchen. What a great way to see 'The Mystery in action'.
That's about it for me today kids, but I'll leave you with this thought... Would you really honestly want to eat in a restaurant named 'Chuck Wagon'?

peace and happy eating.
